The RICS Foundation is editing a special issue of Journal of Property Investment & Finance on real estate markets in Africa, and papers are now invited for this special issue.

This issue is being edited by Stephen Brown (RICS Foundation) and Adarkwah Antwi (University of Wolverhampton).In the context of countries and regions in Africa, topics to be covered in the special issue can include (but are not confined to):

  • property rights

  • development of property markets

  • property market analysis

  • urban growth management

  • urban and regional planning

  • the development of the real estate profession

  • sustainable development and real estate markets

  • urban governance

  • natural resource use and real estate development.

All full papers submitted are subject to anonymous double-blind review by relevant academics and researchers. Submission can be made in hard copy or electronic form (Microsoft Word format is the preferred format). All material should be submitted to:

Initial consideration will be on the basis of abstracts and, if this is thought suitable, full papers will be requested for the purposes of refereeing.Abstracts of papers to be submitted for this special issue should be no more than 200 words in length.

If the abstract is thought appropriate for the special issue, full papers will be requested for refereeing. Full details will be provided on acceptance of the abstract, and full papers will be requested by Friday, 25 March 2005.
