Dr Peter Kenington, chief technology officer at Wireless Systems International, has recently completed his new book titled High Linearity RF Amplifier Design.
Based on the author's own experience, it claims to offer the first comprehensive guide to all major RF power amplifier linearisation techniques.
Having left Bristol University with first-class honours B.Eng and PhD degrees, Dr Kenington dedicated his time to the world of high-linearity and transmitter systems. In 1995, he helped found Wireless Systems International(WSI) and is currently the chief technology officer, leading technical development of the RF power amplifier products produced by WSI for 3G network communications.
Having published 90 papers and 25 radio patents in the radio technology field, Peter is no novice to the world of intricate radio technology and his new book looks at the many different means that are applied to amplifier linearisation. It also discusses sources of distortion and methods of modelling them, feedback, feed forward, pre-distortion and RF synthesis techniques and includes details on efficiency boosting procedures.
Dr Kenington's book examines and compares major RF power amplifier linearisation procedures in detail and contains more than 250 illustrations and over 600 verified equations.
