Dr Jerry Sergent appointed IMAPS' technical journal editor

IMAPS has announced that Dr Jerry Sergent has been appointed Editor of the Society's Technical Journal.

Dr Sergent is a Past President of IMAPS (1979) and is currently a consultant to the electronics industry at large in the general area of Electronic Packaging for IMAPS. He also contracts on a short-term basis to companies who have a need for expertise in packaging, including design, processing, thermal management,and marketing.

Dr Sergent is a recipient of IMAPS' Daniel C. Hughes Award (1993), the William D. Ashman Award for Electronic Packaging (1998), the Technical Achievement Award (1984), and was named a Fellow of the Society (1981). He is also Past Publications Chairman (1992-1998), and a published author of and contributor to multiple technical books and has authored more than 70 Technical Papers.
