Ulrick & Short Ltd one of the UK's leading clean label ingredients developers, suppliers and manufacturers, has announced a new appointment as part of its ongoing expansion plans.
Laura Thornhill has taken up the new post of business development manager for the south of England. She brings with her a wealth of culinary experience and will be responsible for generating sales leads and securing new business. The appointment of Ms Thornhill is part of Ulrick & Short's strategic plans to increase its market share by driving sales in the south of England. Her role is to create more opportunities and increase the awareness of Ulrick & Short's vast product range along with the outstanding support it offers from expert food technologists. Having achieved a degree in food and consumer studies from Sheffield Hallam University, Ms Thornhill previously developed sauces for ingredients supplier Gordon Jopling.
It is the clean label aspect that attracted Ms Thornhill to Ulrick &Short along with the opportunity to work in all the different areas of the food industry including bakery, ready meals, processed meats, soups, sauces and desserts.
Ulrick & Short's aim is to bring new and innovative ingredients to the marketplace and introduce these across the UK.
