Thermo LabSystems has produced a new 4-page brochure describing functionality of its Nautilus LIMS product to fulfill specific requirements of the biotechnology industry. The brochure outlines how the latest enhancements offer new levels of sample traceability, user empowerment and instrument integration (Plate 11).

The new brochure provides readers with a comprehensive overview of how Nautilus provides a comprehensive sample inventory, together with the ability to track microtiter plates and micro-arrays for genomics and proteomics applications. Plate fill orders and patterns can be defined using a simple graphical user interface, and child plates, and their eventual results can be traced back through parental generations. Other sections of the brochure describe advanced data management capabilities for sample reception and storage,CDNA library management, SNP scoring, sequencing, workflow creation, worklists and third-party software and instrumentation integration. Nautilus' flexibility enables it to be easily configured and deployed for cloning and metabolomics research.
