A graphite water‐borne paint with special anti‐static properties is now available from International Paint — Industrial Coatings. The coating is already being used on the inside of phenolic impregnated fibreboard covers for the backs of television cabinets to prevent the build‐up of static electricity. The electrical specification called for a resistance of less than 100 ohms between two points 14 in apart and IP—IC stated that it has good stability characteristics.
