Ascot plc, the parent company of Chemoxy International and Pentagon Chemicals, has announced that terms have been agreed for it to acquire the Haltermann Group, a leading international chemicals contract processor based in Germany, for DEM250 million(£90 million). The acquisition, when combined with Chemoxy and Pentagon,makes Ascot the world's largest independent chemical custom processing business.
The acquisition gives Ascot's enlarged chemicals division a global production capacity of 500,000 tonnes per annum for contract manufacture and distillation of petrochemical and speciality chemicals. Large scale Custom processing facilities operated by Ascot are located at some of the world's largest chemical complexes in Teesside UK, Antwerp Belgium, Hamburg and Speyer Germany, and Houston USA.
