Dr. Cernusca’s research interests include technology-enabled active learning contexts, technology-mediated problem solving, online and blended learning formats, and implementation of design-based research for learning of complex topics.

Doris H. Kincade, PhD, is a professor in the fashion merchandising and design program at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA. Her current research and teaching areas include understanding the apparel industry through material culture analysis and strategies for teaching quality analysis and fashion portfolio, including a publication on desktop critiques.
Oscar J. Solis, PhD, is an associate professor of finance and the Edwards Professor of Financial Planning in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance at West Texas A&M University. His recent research projects include the exploration of pedagogical strategies for face-to-face and online classes and financial education for college students.

Jill M. Oeding is an associate professor of business law at the University of Southern Indiana. Dr. Oeding enjoys teaching and researching in the areas of law and ethics, aiming to offer practical help to practitioners and students. Dr. Oeding earned her JD from Indiana University’s McKinney School of Law. Prior to working as a professor for USI, Dr. Oeding practiced law in the areas of employment law and estate planning.
Kathleen Roney is professor of middle level education at University of North Carolina Wilmington. She has over 35 years in teaching and administration at the elementary, middle grades, secondary, and higher education levels. Her research interests include middle level education, teacher education, research methods, and curriculum development.
Sonique Sailsman is an assistant professor of nursing at Georgia Baptist College of Nursing, Mercer University in Atlanta, GA. She teaches in the graduate and undergraduate programs. Her clinical practice experience includes pediatric acute care (pediatric intensive care unit, cardiac intensive care unit, and postanesthesia care unit). Her areas of research interest include online nursing education, health disparities and the social determinants of health in adolescent populations. Dr. Sailsman is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and the National League for Nursing.
Kathy R. Fox is a professor of language and literacy education at Watson College of Education, University of North Carolina Wilmington. Dr. Fox spent her first years as an educator working as a HeadStart teacher and then a primary teacher in California bilingual classrooms. Her current research focuses on family literacy practices in the home and community that support schoollike practices.
Tracy Y. Hargrove is an associate professor in elementary mathematics education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington where she has served on the faculty since 2000. Dr. Hargrove is a former elementary mathematics teacher and school system technology coordinator. Her research interests include preservice teachers’ mathematical knowledge for teaching, authentic assessment, and high-stakes accountability.
