New from Intertronics is a line of Dymax Light Weld adhesives (see Plate 4), designed to form water-clear bonds in seconds, to glass, as well as many plated metal and plastic substrates. Curing in seconds on exposure to long-wave UV light, these durable adhesives provide the fastest high-speed automated processing possible. The bonds formed exhibit superior tensile and shear strength, as well as impact and vibration resistance. Excellent moisture resistance allows hundreds of dishwasher cycles as well as severe environmental conditions. Light Weld adhesives also exhibit excellent resistance to yellowing from thermal exposure

Applications include bonding and laminating automotive and architectural glass, stemware, various decorative glass and crystal giftware assemblies and most optical and lens bonding applications. Light Weld adhesives also form structural strength bonds between glass and other substrates including ceramic, ferrite metal and plated metal surfaces. The visible light curing grades bond coloured transparent glass and produce faster, deeper cures
