This is a revised and extended edition of “a compendium of words and phrases from the north‐east of Scotland” first published in 1989 by the same publisher. Both authors are now dead (Buchan in 1991, Toulmin in May 1998), but over the years since 1989 both continued to collect words and phrases as they came to mind, adding a further 40 pages to this second edition.
