This annual reference book of public affairs in Wales is now well established. It is unique, the surest guide to the highways and byways of the ever more complex social, economic and political infrastructure and bureaucracy of post‐devolutionary Wales. Bigger in bulk and better in quality than ever.

The volume for 2001 had 728 pages; this year’s has 800. Administrative, governmental and top economic institutions account for the most dramatic development.
