A Dictionary of Astronomy (2nd edition)

This new addition to the wide‐ranging series of Oxford Paperback Reference works is a completely new edition of Ian Ridpath's popular dictionary of astronomy, the first edition of which was published in 1997. To accommodate new developments in this rapidly changing field revised versions followed in 2003 (RR 2003/97) and 2004. As students of astronomy will no doubt be aware there are a number of similar titles in this field, including an earlier title from Longman (Ridpath, 1987), which are also the work of the present editor.
