Scholarpedia, created in 2006 is a dynamic open‐access online free encyclopedia that is peer‐reviewed. The focus of Scholarpedia is toward sciences such as astrophysics, computational neuroscience, computational intelligence, dynamical systems, and physics. Scholarpedia has the same feel and look at Wikipedia and the main page states that it is powered by the same program, MediaWiki. Like Wikipedia, Scholarpedia allows visitors to edit articles. But Scholarpedia makes is clear that the editing process is stricter and has a scholarly measure in place to ensure edits are accurate and current.
