Fluttering towards us in the autumn sun comes volume three of the standard work on British butterflies and moths. This is, in fact, the seventh volume out of 12 so the series is now over half way ‐ a great achievement, and the publishers are to be applauded for their persistence, especially as while they have been producing these wonderful books they have also been enriching our lives, and libraries, with other standard works on spiders, dragonflies and grasshoppers.
