Antique Furniture is intended to be used as a quick reference guide to furniture of the USA and Europe from the Gothic period to around 1900. It provides an overall view of the history and development of furniture design and, as such, is only intended to be a portable, handy guide rather than a work of academic study. Reference to more detailed sources is provided in the bibliography at the end of the book.
