Fact File 98 9th edition

Carel Press of Carlisle is making serious inroads into the popular reference book market. Key Organisations 98 got a good review from this reviewer (RR 12/3 ), as did Essential Articles (RR 97/331). This title, the third in the Carel trio, I am less sure about. Certainly the cover blurb quote, “Copiable statistics on 37 topics”, is a good selling ploy, while the back cover plugs ‐ “Get a grip on our fast‐changing world. Up‐to‐date vital statistics: 9th edition. Copiable. Accessible. Covers all the big issues. Key data on 191 countries. Guide to 1650 organisations” ‐ also impress.
