The author is a member of the International Clematis Society, has edited its publication, Clematis International, is a past chairman of the British Clematis Society, a former Editor of the Clematis and has written several books on clematis. His credentials are therefore ideal for producing such a work as this. Not only is he an expert on clematis but he has also shown himself capable of producing a very clear, informative, well illustrated (250 colour illustrations and 37 drawings) and well planned publication which will be of value to both amateurs and experts concerned with clematis (clematarians).
