We have previously noted other volumes in this series (RR 98/461 and 2000/427) and have welcomed their wide interactive approach. These two volumes are slightly different in that they deal with instruments devised in the late twentieth century and are probably for the most part much more familiar to their five‐ to seven‐year‐old readers than they are to a middle‐aged reviewer.
