With exceptions of the mainstream European (French, German, Italian and a bit of Spanish) literatures, UK readers are not noted for their willingness to experiment widely with other modern foreign language authors. Americans seem much more willing, so there is no surprise in the bibliography to this useful and interesting book that many of the translations into English originate in North America.
