The Oxford Dictionary of Literary Quotations (2nd edition)

“Here's a book full of words; one can choose as he fancies, As a painter his tint, as a workman his tool” This quotation, taken from the new edition of the Oxford Dictionary of Literary Quotations here under review, just about sums up the book for me. It is a work that will prove useful to English literature undergraduates and postgraduates, looking for that perfect quotation to start off an essay. It would be equally useful to any arts student searching for “titbits” of information on a particular literary subject, author or poet.
