If any work can convince readers that post‐colonial literature in English (let alone in other languages) is alive and well, it is this one. The Encyclopedia, which began life in 1987 and was published in 1994 in two volumes, has Benson (University of Guelph, Canada) and Conolly (Trent University, Canada) as editors and a strong team of nearly 600 consultant and regional editors and contributors.
