The Trafalgar Captains: Their Lives and Memorials

The 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar has brought forth numerous books, most of them, as might be expected, giving the greatest prominence to its central figure, Nelson. This one, the work of 13 contributors (historians, antiquarians and naval officers) attempts to redress the balance by providing short biographies of the officers in command of his ships, and benefiting from an associated historical project, of the memorials to them.
