A Dictionary of Biology (6th edition)

This dictionary has been derived from the Concise Science Dictionary which was first published in 1984 by Oxford University Press. The subjects covered include biology and biochemistry naturally, but terms relating to other fields are included e.g. geology (in relation to soil science), medicine, food technology, etc. The more chemical aspects of biochemistry can be found in Daintith (2008) (review forthcoming in Reference Reviews), while the other companion volume to this publication is Isaacs (2005), both published as the Oxford Paperback Reference series.
