Historical Fiction II: A Guide to the Genre

The first volume of this Guide (2005) was reviewed by Stuart James in these columns (RR 2006/27). Like this second volume, it was edited by Sarah L. Johnson, who was the previous North American Regional Editor of Reference Reviews. She tells us in her Introduction that “this updated guide picks up where the first book left off, focusing on English‐language novels for adults that were published between 2004 and mid‐2008, in particular those commonly found in American public library collections (as indicated in OCLC's WorldCat)”.
