The Atlas of Pathophysiology offers a broad overview of pathophysiology while providing sufficient detail to help the learner understand the principles involved. It is designed to help healthcare professionals visualise disease processes, understand the rationales for clinical interventions, and to explain to patients how diseases develop and progress.

The Atlas is divided into two parts. Part one, Central Concepts lists and explains the key terms used in the basic disciplines of cancer, infection, genetics and electrolyte disorders. Each section examines causes, risk factors, pathophysiologic concepts, signs and symptoms, diagnostic tests and treatment.
