This specialist title is the sixth to appear in Ashgate’s Anglo-Italian Renaissance Studies Series the purpose of which, to quote the summary provided on the verso to the title page, is to “(place) early modern English drama within the context of Italian cultural, dramatic, and literary traditions, with reference to the impact and influence of both classical and contemporary culture”. Two other titles in the series have had a bibliographical focus, Petrarch’s English Laurels, 1475-1700s (Boswell and Braden, 2013) (RR 2013/228) and, especially, A Bibliographical Catalogue of Italian Books Printed in England, 1558-1603 (Tomita, 2009)....
