Heraclitus, an ancient Greek philosopher, argued that change or flux was the underlying characteristic of nature. “Everything flows,” he said. Nothing stays the same, everything moves and changes. “You cannot walk in the same river twice.” Both you and the river will have changed by the second time you step into it.
