For effective innovation, companies need to be able to sort out new concept ideas, and ensure that the potential breakthrough concepts are identified and taken forward. But this front‐end evaluation and assessment is often a real challenge, especially when using traditional methods concept prioritization comes down to gut feel, group voting, executive pressure, the loudest voice, or the most detailed solution.
Helps clarify how the concept auction approach – which is based on the wisdom of crowds theory – can help to generate a prioritization that does not hinge on the voices of a few.
