New OSP-1 advanced programmable clinch option for odd-form placement

The Celtronix OSP-1 odd-form placement system supplied by Contax Limited, now offers a six axis programmable clinching sub-system and advanced programmable clinching option, which uses linear servo motors for the main axis and advanced rotary servo motors for the other axis. It allows clinching in all directions and provides board support for snap-in components. The dualtip clinch head may be programmed to activate each tip independently or together for optimum performance.
This new feature complements the existing capabilities of the OSP-1 advanced odd-form system. The Windows NTTM based OSP-1 platform is ideal for TH and SMD applications, pin-in-paste process or mechanical assembly, and the open architecture feeding system accommodates all type of component's packaging and feeding such as tape and reel, single or multistick, radial and axial, bulk and single or multi-tray unit.
The OSP-1 advanced programmable vision software and algorithms provide maximum flexibility, which enables the user to teach the system any new oddform component. Celtronix develop, produce and market automated end-of-line assembly solutions for odd-form components.
