Orbotech has announced the worldwide introduction of Verifast21™, a next generation color defect verification and rework station in its line of automated optical inspection (AOI) solutions for electronics assembly.
VeriFast21 is fast, flexible and easy-to-use. It includes innovative features, such as an intuitive user interface, color graphical display,programmable keypad and state-of-the-art laser pointer, that are designed to help the repair operator quickly identify and eradicate defects, thus speeding up the whole repair cycle.
Using defect information from an Orbotech AOI system, VeriFast21 simplifies defect review and classification, while providing users with a valuable database of information in their own self- determined terminology to identify recurring defects and decide on the course of action for process improvements. For industries where legislation dictates the long-term traceabilty of all product build information, the data also provide a unique record of allclassification activities for defects detected at AOI on each PCB assembly.
