The FABmaster Group announces release of FABmaster GOLD, a new generation of its FABmaster computer integrated manufacturing software for board manufacturing and test.
FABmaster GOLD has an advanced process oriented user interface with internet ready flowchart navigation. A flowchart includes all of the steps which must be carried out in a given manufacturing or test process. Flowcharts can be executed step by step or automatically. In automatic mode an entire assembly process from CAD and BOM input through optimization to machine program and process instruction generation can be carried out in a single shot, without user intervention. All operations are logged.
FABmaster GOLD includes a state-of-the-art optimizer for SMD assembly lines. The optimizer supports all existing machine technologies (e.g. turret, pick and place,multi-pick/multi-place, etc). Timing calculations are based on accurate machine models and full kinematic emulation of the machine dynamics. Boards can be clustered for assembly with a common setup. Optimization minimizes cycle times,achieving gains of up to 20 percent, and is fully scaleable for high volume/low mix and high mix/low volume production on multi vendor lines.
FABmaster GOLD has"FABmaster inside" and is therefore fully compatible with earlier versions of FABmaster CIM automation software.
