New, easy-to-use Quad operating software

Quad Systems Corporation recently began field tests of the new version of its proprietary placement system operating software - QSoft-2™. QSoft-2, a Microsoft® Win32® application, manages multiple Quad "Q" Series™assembler machine lines. It also runs Quad's off-line feeder loading stations(OLS).
New advanced menus with context-sensitive property sheets make QSoft-2 easier to use by reducing keystrokes and mouse clicks. In addition, the QSoft-2 cell controller provides the latest technology for database control and reliability. QSoft-2 includes enhanced ball grid array (BGA), quad flat pack (QFP) and fiducial capabilities that improve the speed, flexibility, repeatability and accuracy of vision operations. Additionally, QSoft-2 directly supports a wide variety of latching, tabletop-mounted and rail-mounted tray holders.
Optional features include multi-level, user-configurable password access control, support for Quad's new MT-30™ high speed JEDEC tray handler,support for APT features such as flux pot and wafer presentation systems, and a networked common database.
