Concoat Systems have announced their takeover of the SoldaPro thermal profilers business from the old equipment division of Multicore Solders,formerly known as SPCID (Soldering Process Control Instrumentation Division).

Commencing 1 May 2001, this first phase of the acquisition of the SPCID division of Multicore will result in Concoat taking on sole world-wide responsibility for the SoldaPro, Slimline SoldaPro and the Slimline SoldaPro Oracle range of thermal profilers.

Graham Naisbitt, MD of Concoat, stated, "This is the first of an additional range of specialised test and measurement equipment that is being added to our portfolio in support of our commitment to circuit reliability. We believe that the SoldaPro range will prove to be an essential addition and will further our aim of providing a one-stop shop in the prevention of printed circuit board failure".
