Siemens opens 16th training center for SMT placement technology in Seoul/South KoreaKeywords:Siemens, Korea

Siemens PL has further expanded its activities by opening the 16th training center in Seoul/South Korea in February of this year. The company says that, alongside customer service, it now offers the most extensive range of support in the field of SMT placement technology.

The new training center in Korea provides instruction on the Siplace HS-50 and F5 HM machines and has an annual training capacity of around 350 places based on the Siplace modular training concept. Broadly based training modules, which can be individually combined, have been developed for the Siplace machine platform. The spectrum ranges from courses for operators, line engineers, service technicians and programmers, to training courses for trainers in the customer's team (training the trainers). However, the range of courses is not just confined to pure machine courses, the center also offers special courses for the optimal control of the entire SMT process.

The instruction is based on the same syllabuses in all the training centers. Multinational customers, in particular, expect to find the same training syllabuses, whether in Germany, Korea, China or the USA, and of course in the corresponding language. Together with the "round-the-clock" service concept, in which every customer can obtain technical hotline support at any time, the option of accessing every Siplace machine on the customer's premises online (remote support), and a rapid response on-site service, Siemens PL thus offers a comprehensive, world-wide service package as part of the Siplace Global Solution. This ensures that customers can operate their placement lines with the highest possible productivity at all times.
