"Viper" soldering tip range further simplifies the challenge of reworking fine pitch components
Keyword: Soldering
Metcal's latest "Viper" (TATC-608) range of soldering tips has been designed to make the traditionally difficult rework of fine pitch components even faster, easier and safer on its industry-leading MX-500TS general purpose rework station (see Plate 4).
As a result, MX-500TS users will find that, when using these Viper tips, operator productivity and process control will be significantly increased, along with the cost-effectiveness of their rework function. The investment cost of the tips will therefore be rapidly recouped due to the cost savings they will produce in any manufacturing process.

Like all of Metcal's fully comprehensive range of existing (TATC-601)MX-500TS high performance tips, the Viper tips are designed to fit on to the rework station's "Talon" handpiece with exceptional simplicity and speed.
Because there are no annoying screws to remove or difficult alignment procedures, tips can be changed within seconds via an innovative push-on, quick release system that does not require any form of special tooling.
