Conference and exhibition on microsystem packaging and manufacturing
Keywords: Conferences, Microsystems, Packaging,Manufacturing
The internationally acknowledged MICRO SYSTEM Technologies 2003 conference and exhibition will be held in 7-8 October 2003 in Munich, Germany. The event features aspects of research, design, manufacturing, testing, reliability and commercialization of microsystems. Each time the event is held, a special focus is selected to satisfy the information needs of companies and institutes worldwide. This year's focus is on "microsystem packaging and manufacturing". Conference and exhibition are the premier place for experts to exchange their expertise, get new ideas and make contacts with future partners.
High profile keynote speakers will give an industrial point of view for their specific MEMS applications.
Sarah Audet, Medtronic, USA – Medical applications for microsystems.
Robert Aigner, Infineon Technologies AG, Germany – Microsystems in mobile phone applications.
Roland Müller-Fiedler, Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany – Microsystems for automotive applications.
Faiz Sherman, Procter and Gamble, USA – A vision of microsystems within the low cost consumer disposable products industry.
Ho-Ming Tong, ASE Global, Taiwan – Leading-edge system-in-a-package(SiP) assembly.
The topics addressed in the conference program feature:
integrated processes (micromachining, micromoulding, microstructuring,etc.);
techniques to a fabrication proof assembly of microdevices;
testing and test equipment;
medical devices (microfluidics, bioMEMS, MST for diagnosis and therapy);
dedicated sessions for the packaging of RF and microwave devices as well as for sensing and optical MEMS components;
case examples; and
view on commercialization issues and chances.
In addition, workshops are offered on specific topics giving a half-day,in-depth view to the field of MST packaging and testing. Special sessions are featured to give the audience a detailed insight into the results of two long-term R&D projects on ubiquitous computing including sensing and network embedded electronics as well as robotics development (REMROB).
