The new SIPLACE Line Monitor for operators and electronics manufacturers provides a concise overview of the entire line, resulting in significantly fewer material-related production stops. The software of the SIPLACE Line Monitor consolidates the relevant status information for an SMT line on one screen. At a single glance and without having to run from machine to machine, the operating staff is able to see, for example, boards can still be populated with the current amount of material and when which tapes will have to be spliced on which machine. The Line Monitor’s red-yellow-green concept warns of critical situations before they can result in line stops and helps the operators prioritize and plan their activities in accordance with the particular situation.
Residual run times for component reels, MSD exposure times and expiration dates, material availability on the line – the new SIPLACE Line Monitor shows this and a lot more information in a clear and concise manner on a single screen. And for the first time, the operating staff can see major status information for all the machines on the line at a single glance. Particularly,important information – for example, in how many minutes and on which track the next reel will run out – is visualized in the form of red-yellow-green indicators. Previously, operators had to run from machine to machine to keep an eye on the entire line – the new SIPLACE Line Monitor software now integrates this status information on a single screen. Since the operating staff has to deal with fewer distractions, it can schedule and prioritize its actions much more effectively in order to avoid material-related production stops.
