Saving the sinful: can CSR reporting help save sin industries?

Sin industries are described by Dhandhania and O'Higgins (2021) as those whose products, services or concepts, cause reactions of distaste, disgust, offence or outrage when mentioned. Key examples are tobacco, gambling, oil, petrochemical or pharmaceutical industries–all which have been involved in global scandals which have been evidenced to cause threat or harm humans and the planet.
