In the modern-day workforce there is emergence of virtual and remote teams. Finding a way to get through to your team and lead in the best way possible was hard enough before 2020. After COVID 2019, nowadays, the post pandemic culture forces us to become more acquainted with the concept of virtual and remote teams. A virtual team refers to a group of individuals who work together from different geographic locations and rely on communication technology such as email, instant messaging, and video or voice conferencing services in order to collaborate (Beharay et.al; 2023). A remote work team refers to a group of employees who telecommute to work from various locations spread across cities, countries, and even continents. Virtual teams and remote workers have become increasingly common due to the proliferation of Information and Communication Technologies, which have made it easier for people to connect and collaborate regardless of their location (Beharay, 2023). The purposes of this chapter are to appraise the preferences of employees for effective remote working style, to review the impact of remote working style on organizational productivity, and to visualize the sustainable trends that will shape the future of remote work. This study provides a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities of managing remote workers and teams in the digital age and provides guidance for leaders in developing effective strategies to overcome the challenges of remote team management.
