In recent years the support of technology integration in K-12 schools has been a focal point of educational research (Earle, 2002; Roschelle, Pea, Hoadley, Gordin, & Means, 2001; Schacter, 1999), national standards (International Society for Technology in Education [ISTE], 2000a, 2000b; National Council for Teachers of English, 1996; National Council for Teachers of Mathematics, 2000; National Research Council, 1996) and educational binding (Cuban, 2003; Ringstaff & Kelley, 2002). The Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers to Use Technology (PT3) initiative provided rich opportunities to support technology integration in K-12 schools by providing numerous resources, including computer equipment, professional development, and technological support personnel for teacher education programs, K-12 schools, school districts and state departments of education.
