Directions:
Hand out 3 × 5 cards. Then ask the students to: write down all the times and purposes you’ve worn a hat or some type of headgear. Go way back in your memory and write what these were. Just list them. There is no need to describe them.
OK, now pick ONE example from your list and consider the following questions: What did it look like? Why did you wear it? How did the hat make you feel? Did you change in any way?
Let the students share their thoughts about their hats.
