Chapter Summary
This chapter focuses on the knowledge assets, moments, and mobilities of museums and galleries. While commonly seen as repositories of artifacts, museums and galleries are important spaces and places of memory, learning and socializing in a knowledge society. A museum of history is chosen as an archetype for exploring how spatial syntax affects the flow of people and their knowledge. The authors highlight the important role as places of expression, creativity, and innovation that museums and galleries play in a knowledge society.
