New benefits for joining SSTC include lead-free document download facility

Membership of the NPL's soldering science and technology club (SSTC) is available on an individual basis. Benefits of membership now include:
Access to members only to area of the NPL Web site. Free downloads of NPL reports in pdf format. There are currently 40 reports on the site, usually eight reports are created each year. Abstracts of the reports are available at http://www.npl.co.uk/ei/publications/
Plus the following:
20 per cent discount on SSTC seminar meeting fees (two per year),
20 per cent discount on training workshop fees (typically six per year),
two free hard copies of NPL reports of your choice worth £50 each,
10 per cent discount on contract test work quotations,
regular news-sheets and activity up-dates.
The cost of £150 for individual membership represents a significant saving if all the above options are taken.
Corporate membership cost is £350 and allows for up to five individuals to be included, each with the above benefits. Member contacts can be changed but a principle contact is required.
What is SSTC?
The SSTC is a leading forum for the exchange of information and ideas amongst engineers and researchers in the electronics interconnection industry. It offers members, the opportunity to participate in pre-competitive collaborative research aimed to help drive forward the technology base of UK electronics manufacturing.
The SSTC was formed in 1980 and has a proven record in dissemination of practical information and as an independent source of research for the electronics-manufacturing sector. Many companies can attest to the success of the club, through underpinning research, by improving the manufacturing efficiency and product reliability, and addressing environmental regulatory issues.
