Purpose – Describes how to use Web conferencing to train employees who are located in different places. Design/methodology/approach – Draws on the experience of a US trainer, who is now a training consultant, describing how she developed Web conferencing using the Web conferencing tool, Webex. Discusses how the training had to be tailored to make it effective over the Web. Findings– Argues that this offers an effective way of training a mobile, or geographically-spread team.
