RTS acquires Hatch Science

Robotic Technology Systems PLC (RTS), a leading robotic and automation systems integrator in scientific and industrial applications, and the ultimate parent company of RTS Life Science Limited, has announced the acquisition of a controlling interest in Hatch Science LLC (Hatch).
RTS will pay a minimum of $500,000, and Hatch will join its well-established Life Science division, which has successfully served the North American Big Pharma, Biotech and leading academic institutes for over a decade from its Manchester, UK, base.
“Hatch is a great strategic fit with RTS; it is a key part of our expansion into our core North American market and will offer the group greater efficiency as we expand both our offerings and reach in the USA. Hatch adds complementary products and customers and, importantly, brings Hatch’s proven product design and manufacturing expertise to the business,” said Gary Walsh, Managing Director of RTS Life Science.
RTS Life Science, a supplier of premium automated sample management products,biobanking instruments and drug delivery testing equipment, has been co-operating in sales and product development with Hatch for over 12 months.
Hatch is a leading-edge developer and manufacturer of scientific instruments for the pharmaceutical and medical industries, specializing in dissolution testing, spectroscopy and sample preparation, and is located in Fall River,south of Boston, Massachusetts.
