This study aims to examine the associations between creativity, digital mindfulness, learning disposition and the ethnopoetic approach and Creative Economy Orientation among students in Language and Literature Education through the mediating roles of Literature Knowledge and Entrepreneurial Knowledge.
A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed. Data were analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) to test the direct and indirect relationships among the proposed constructs. Accordingly, the estimated relationships are interpreted as predictive associations rather than evidence of causal effects.
Creativity significantly predicted Literature Knowledge, Entrepreneurial Knowledge and Creative Economy Orientation. The Ethnopoetic Approach was significantly associated with Literature Knowledge and Creative Economy Orientation but did not significantly predict Entrepreneurial Knowledge. Digital Mindfulness was indirectly associated with Creative Economy Orientation through Literature Knowledge and Entrepreneurial Knowledge, while its direct relationship with Creative Economy Orientation was not significant. Learning Disposition significantly predicted Entrepreneurial Knowledge and Creative Economy Orientation but not Literature Knowledge. Overall, Creative Economy Orientation was associated with distinct direct and knowledge-mediated pathways rather than a uniform pattern across all antecedents.
This study identifies distinct pathways associated with Creative Economy Orientation in Language and Literature Education. The Ethnopoetic Approach was linked directly and through Literature Knowledge but not Entrepreneurial Knowledge, emphasizing literary-cultural interpretation. The findings may inform curriculum pilot initiatives and further longitudinal or quasi-experimental research.
