New Leica Microsystems training centre - an offer for the worldwide semiconductor industry

Leica Microsystems has opened a new demonstration and customer training facility in Wetzlar. The new facility is located just approximately 40 miles north of Frankfurt international airport, providing easy access for Leica's semiconductor customers worldwide.

Leica Microsystems' rapidly expanding global market presence as supplier for the semiconductor industry is being accompanied by an increase in sales and support personnel. The new demonstration and support facility is a further important factor in Leica Microsystems' continued growth.

The 2,500 sq. ft. facility also includes a clean-room to demonstrate Leica Microsystems' advanced inspection and metrology systems for the semiconductor and photo mask industry.

"We are excited about the establishment of our new demonstration facility in Wetzlar. It will allow our customers to see our advanced inspection and metrology capabilities at first hand", said Dr Fritz Hohn, general manager of Leica Microsystems Business Area Microelectronics.
