Palomar Technologies,worldwide manufacturer of bonding and first level interconnect systems, today announced the opening of a new office in Evry, France. Managed by service/application engineer Jean-François Carpentier, the office will provide sales, service and support for Palomar's customers in France and, along with personnel based in Palomar's office in Germany, the rest of Europe.
M. Carpentier most recently served as a member of the technical services group for MicroMechanics Technologies. He was a member of the research and development staff at Thomson France for ten years and a service engineer with Sofradis, a company which services a variety of products, including the Precimeca semi-automatic bonding machines. He was also a service/applications engineer with SANECO, which represented Palomar's bonding equipment when it was part of Hughes Aircraft Company Technology Products Division.
