Du Pont's Microcircuit Material division, a member of Du Pont iTechnologies, now has an enhanced Web site aimed at giving its customers the latest information on thick film, Green Tape materials and processes, industry events and applications. Special features include the ability to make a virtual tour of MCM's stands at important exhibitions, such as the IMAPS US Annual Symposium. Also an online version of its regular newsletter – Horizons, Du Pont Thick Film News – is now included.
Since its inception more than three years ago the site has grown into a valuable industry resource with easy to use navigation features. For example, designers working in the rapidly growing wireless industry can go to the Ceramic Solutions for Wireless section, while those in the automotive industry also have their own section.
These sections contain application profiles, abstracts and indices to technical papers, data sheets for many new products, plus design guidelines in order to shorten the time required in getting new products to market. Sections on Green Tape LTCC, Fodel photo-patternable thick film, Diffusion Patterning and MCM's QM44 multilayer dielectric have all been expanded with respect to the wireless and automotive markets.
Design guidelines are a key feature of the improved Web site providing an instant source of design and process information for all MCM products. But its also takes a much broader view by publishing technical papers from many other sources, as well as highlighting advances in materials, processes, design and applications.
