IMAPS Ceramic Technologies Workshop provides glimpse into the future

Dr. David L. Wilcox, Sr., Director of Motorola's Micro-Technologies Research Lab in Tempe, Arizona, will provide an exciting glimpse into the near future of advanced photonics and wireless communication technologies at an upcoming IMAPS-sponsored Advanced Technology Workshop (ATW) in Providence.

The ATW, entitled "Ceramic Applications for Microwave and Photonic Packaging", is sponsored by the International Microelectronics And Packaging Society (IMAPS) and the Ceramic Interconnect Initiative (CII), and will be held May 2 - 3, 2002, at the Westin Providence Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island. This IMAPS ATW will focus on critical issues in packaging for Microwave and Photonic technology – essential in reducing time to market, reducing costs, and wide-scale deployment of these rapidly growing technologies.

This workshop will cover the most recent advancements in ceramic interconnect technology materials and process for these applications. An outstanding program is planned with internationally recognized authorities from industry and academia.
